About Stav

I am a dedicated photographer and creative educator with a passion for helping others develop their artistic voice. Currently completing a Bachelor of Arts in Photography at RMIT University, I combine academic knowledge with years of professional experience running my own photography business and exhibiting work locally and internationally. With a background teaching in afternoon schools since 2019, I bring patience, clarity, and enthusiasm to every lesson. My approach is supportive and practical, designed to make students feel confident while building real technical and creative skills. Whether guiding beginners through the basics of camera use or mentoring advanced learners in developing a unique style, I create a positive and inspiring learning environment. Students can trust that they will be learning from someone with a proven track record in both education and professional practice, committed to their growth as photographers and storytellers.

About the lesson

My teaching style is hands-on, creative, and tailored to each student’s needs. I believe that the best way to learn photography is by combining practical exercises with clear explanations, so my lessons balance technical knowledge (camera settings, lighting, composition, editing) with creative exploration (storytelling, mood, and personal style).

A typical lesson runs for 60–90 minutes, allowing enough time for guided activities, practice, and feedback. Depending on the student, we might work in-studio, outdoors, or on specific projects such as portraits, documentary-style work, or editing in Adobe Creative Suite.

I bring both professional and academic experience to my teaching: I am completing a Bachelor of Arts (Photography) at RMIT, have exhibited my work internationally, and run my own business, specialising in family and portrait photography. I also have several years of experience teaching in afternoon schools, where I developed strong classroom management and mentoring skills.
