About Aiden
As a rising high school senior with a strong STEM background, I have completed 13 Advanced Placement courses, including advanced STEM coursework, and built a solid foundation in mathematics from Algebra through Calculus I/II. This combination of recent academic experience and a student-centered approach allows me to explain difficult concepts clearly, connect them to what students already know, and make math feel manageable.
Over the past several years, I have gained experience tutoring both peers and younger students, including helping classmates prepare for the SAT Math section, strengthen their understanding of mathematical concepts, and build confidence in their abilities. Teaching has been an integral part of my life for the last five or so years, and I have learned how to adapt my approach to students at different skill levels and with different learning styles.
My teaching experience also extends beyond academics. I previously served as a martial arts assistant instructor, where I helped teach younger students discipline, technique, and confidence. That experience strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, stay patient, and encourage others as they work toward improvement.
My teaching philosophy is centered around understanding the “why” behind mathematics rather than simply memorizing steps. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable ideas, using guided practice and problem-solving strategies to help students become more independent and confident learners.
Outside of tutoring, I am passionate about STEM education, research, and encouraging students to pursue academic growth. I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and developing a lasting appreciation for mathematics.
I look forward to helping students strengthen their skills, achieve their goals, and become more confident mathematicians!
