About Kaitlyn
I am currently a college English teaching assistant, and I will graduate with my Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing this semester. During the past two years I have taught sections of ENG1100 (freshman English) and DEV0920 (developmental English). My undergraduate degree is in high school English education where I completed over 200 hours of classroom observations and a full semester of student teaching. I have experience in journalism and creative writing as well.

I would describe my methodology as hands on, differentiated, and modern. Every student needs a unique approach to learning, and I think that bringing in prior knowledge of popular culture genres can be a way to engage today's students! Technology has changed the way we read and write, and technology provides many innovative ways to help 21st century students learn.
