About SAMI
I studied metallurgical engineering; its field is not just metals or 'science of metals' but all materials, including ceramics, fiber optics, carbon fiber which is used on your race bikes etc.
When we talk about friction between materials, or hardness and strength of engineering materials, it's all about the physical state of different materials. Therefore scientific topics in physics and chemistry are not only about some formulae; on the contrary the formulae were discovered to explain behavior of physical matters.
Therefore I see the science should be fun to study, nothing like you need to memorize this and that formula. Think about this: Your pencil is made of graphite which is carbon and it's soft, but diamond is made of carbon too and it is the hardest of all materials in the world. Do you know why?

Contrary to a typical teacher out of any education faculty I have long years of industrial experience with steel making technology and automotive industry. I am also metallurgical & materials engineer so for example my methodology of teaching physics and chemistry derives from real engineering materials, from their actual use in a machine or environment which dictates what kind of physical and chemical properties they should have before teaching anybody how many protons and electrons there are in their atomic structures.
In summary, a student learns for not just pass the exam, she or he learns properties of matter to explain why they behave like that.
