About Mick
I retired from teaching three years ago. I taught ICT and Business Studies with some maths and English on my timetable periodically. Prior to teaching I was a Civil Servant and spent the last 5 years of that career as a software engineer working for the Department for National Savings. At 40 I went to the University of Sunderland and gained a B. of Ed. (2.1) in Business Studies with ICT. I then taught for the remainder of my working life.

It is based on a very flexible approach and is dependent on the students and student needs. Student needs need to be clearly identified and methodology flows from that. It needs to be varied, fun but at the same time well planned and disciplined. The main thrust of my pedagogy would be based on developing a trusting relationship with students and giving them a degree of ownership in the teaching process.
