About Gunnar
I have a doctorate (D.Phil.) from Oxford, and I have taught at Oxford, the University of Leicester and Viadrina University in Germany. I am an historian specializing in the Holocaust. My book, Secret City: The Hidden Jews of Warsaw 1940-1945 (Yale UP, 2002) has won three prizes and a medal from the Polish government. I offer tutoring in general writing skills, planning, organizing and writing essays and dissertations, in history and in other areas of the humanities. I have helped students whose first language is not English to write successful PhD theses.
