About Corrinne Derichs

The main traits I consider make me a good teacher are I am a good organizer (lesson plans, running activities etc); ability to control groups including large groups; good communication skills - understanding of when to lead, how to ask guiding questions and then to listen; comfortable to provide feedback as I believe feedback is a gift when provided in a sensitive manner. Make lessons fun!

About the lesson

The first priority is to identify a student's level and how to prepare lesson plans to help them progress. If they are elementary students I would begin with basic tenses and assist them to communicate simply about general topics. As a tutor it is very important to give clear simple instructions to my students and make sure they fully understand what I am asking them to do.
