About Stephen
I earned by Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Ohio State, where I assisted and taught undergraduates in the analytical lab classes. I was hired from graduate school by General Mills and worked there for 27 years until my retirement last year, with expanding responsibilities up to Technology Director. I'm now teaching college chemistry in the Twin Cities area, and am a Senior Advisor for Partners in Food Solutions, a non-profit assisting food companies in Africa.

My approach to teaching is by example, first by explaining concepts and then walking through problems and answers. I've been using Zoom screen-sharing and whiteboard this year to enable my approach to be successful. I enjoy one-on-one learning because I can tailor my tutoring directly to the student.
