About MIchael
I am a retired young teacher with 5 years of experience teaching AP Biology and Biology. I have a B.S in Marine Biology from the University of Rhode Island and currently work as a coral farmer in Ct. I have always had excellent relationships with my students because I make it clear my number one priority is for them to be successful. Students generally enjoy my class because I offer a very relaxed learning atmosphere, while at the same time, demanding high quality work from my students.

Sessions are primarily for high school students, but could absolutely tutor undergraduate biology students as well. I generally teach biology using a modelling approach. Everything we know about Biology has been discovered by someone. I like to look at how those people made those discoveries. This has proven to be a very effective method in my years of teaching. Class is almost always a discussion instead of a lecture with the outcome of students being able to teach the subject to others by the time I am finished with them.
