About Goh

I am a second-year Chinese Studies student at Universiti Malaya (UM) offering private one-to-one Mandarin/Chinese tuition for primary and secondary students in Selangor (home tuition or online available).

Although I am just starting my journey as a private tutor, I have previous experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school after-school care program. This has given me valuable insight into interacting with children and guiding them patiently.

My Teaching Style:

Patient, encouraging, and supportive
Make lessons fun and relatable by connecting textbook content to real life
Customize lessons according to each student’s level and weaknesses (e.g. composition, reading comprehension, speaking)
Provide simple notes and targeted exercises after class

About the lesson

Lesson Planning & Teaching Approach:

Before class: I will assess the student’s current level, school syllabus, weaknesses, and goals, then prepare customized materials and exercises.
During class: I use interactive and engaging methods rather than rote learning. I explain concepts using real-life examples, stories, and visual aids. For composition, I guide students step-by-step from planning to writing.
After class: I provide clear notes, targeted practice, and follow up via WhatsApp to track progress.

Personalized lessons tailored to each child’s pace and needs
Strong emphasis on both language foundation and exam techniques (UPSR, PT3, SPM)
