About Ishi

Hi! I’m Ishi, a first-year student at the University of Sydney completing a combined Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Honors) and Commerce, after graduating from Wenona School, North Sydney in 2025. I am offering personalized math tutoring for primary and high school students of all levels, with a particular focus on supporting Year 11 and 12 students in HSC Mathematics. I consistently ranked in the top 10 of my cohort in Math Advanced & Ext 1, Physics and Chemistry, demonstrating my strong academic performance.

Mathematics Advanced (Accelerated) – 95/100 (Ranked 3rd internally)
Mathematics Extension 1 – 94/100

About the lesson

Having recently completed the HSC, I understand exactly how overwhelming senior school can feel, especially when it comes to mathematics. In my earlier years, I wasn’t always as organised or strategic with my studies, however once I developed the right systems, structure and mindset, my results improved significantly. This experience taught me the impact of enjoying the process of learning.

As a tutor, I provide practice exams, questions, and notes to deepen understanding and build problem-solving skills. I offer clear, syllabus-aligned explanations and focus on strong foundations, effective study techniques, exam strategies, and confidence. My aim is to equip students not only to excel academically, but to think independently and develop genuine confidence and a passion for mathematics.

My primary mode of lessons is via Zoom; however, I am able to travel to nearby public libraries in Sydney on a case-by-case basis.
