About Sylia
I am a stay-at-home mom who graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors in Biology and a STEM education minor. I have been unofficially teaching in classrooms for eight years, varying from 5th grade math to Algebra 2 to Biology to Middle School Science.

My teaching method uses many Kagan techniques, allowing the student to learn through questioning and teaching. Lectures get boring, and finding ways to let the student experience the lesson is critical. Every student is different, so that experience varies among students. I like to approach topics with a background first and then use students’ prior knowledge to build on.
