About Harry
I am a patient and understanding tutor, who understands the feelings of fear and frustration many students feel whilst studying maths. Whilst I encourage independence whilst trying to answer questions, I will always step in and provide any help if I can tell the student looks slightly out of their depths. My 2 years of tutoring experience has allowed me to really understand how to get the most out of a student; my awareness of each student's different needs allows me to deliver the appropriate approach to help them achieve what they need.

I communicate with my tutees before lessons to see what they would like to work on, and ensure that this is not only practised in that lesson, but further in future lessons too. I gather the appropriate resources that I feel would best help this learning, including ensuring that the full requirements of that topic on the specification have been covered. I was a tutor during year 12 and year 13 at school, tutoring year 10 and 11 (GCSE) students. During this period, I was able to establish good relationships with the students I tutored, something I feel is essential to tutoring. This allowed them to ask questions with confidence and not be afraid to get answers wrong, ultimately allowing them to get the most out of their experience. Furthermore, I worked closely with my fellow pupils during year 12 and year 13, helping me to not only understand but also practise teaching / explaining the A level maths / further maths syllabus.
