About Marina

I have been tutoring professionally for several years now after starting out as the only female undergraduate tutor in the Math & Statistics Learning Center at Oregon State University. Until graduating in June 2026, I worked as a peer tutor through TRIO Student Support Services at OSU, and I am now continuing my work as a private STEM tutor in the PDX and surrounding area as well as remotely.

With years of experience both learning and teaching algebra and other realms of mathematics, I am well-equipped to help students reach understanding and success in this subject.

About the lesson

What I will do as your tutor:
- Walk through new problems and confirm understanding at each step
- Develop practice problems and exam study guides upon request
- Offer hints that guide students toward answers
- Work as fast or as slow as needed
- Tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Be patient, encouraging, and flexible

I can provide tutoring support in any middle or high school algebra class and most college-level algebra courses, from elementary/introductory algebra through to linear algebra.
I can offer support in these specific Oregon State MTH courses: 065, 103, 264, 306, 341-343, and 443-444.

LATE FEE: If a student arrives late to a scheduled lesson without providing at least 1 hr advance notice, they will be charged for the full session, including the time they missed.
If a student has not notified me they will be late and does not show within 15 min from the lesson start time, they will be considered a no show.

NO SHOW FEE: If a student does not arrive to a scheduled lesson without providing at least 1 hr advance notice, they will be charged for the entirety of the scheduled time.
