About Yusuf

I am a recent graduate from the LSE having studied Philosophy and Economics. I have been giving lessons for a few years now while studying and have tutored around 15 students in that time. I have successfully helped students gain places at their most desired Private/Grammar schools e.g. Kings College School Wimbledon, and the top Russell Group Universities through a proven and successful teaching plan!

About the lesson

I believe that my teaching style is well equipped to help your child excel in the most effective and efficient manner. I have crafted my ability to explain hard concepts in a simple yet thorough manner. I am a very approachable person and seek to instil greater confidence in my students by enhancing their ability to tackle questions easily and effectively. Having previously been a tutee myself, I understand how helpful it is to consolidate work with a tutor, to go over hard concepts thoroughly and to be fully prepared for any question that may come your way. I like my tutorials to be interactive and to be based around the needs of the student. At the end of sessions I’ll consolidate basic principles with application to practice questions and depending on the level of the student do periodic tests to monitor progress.

Details

Rates will vary according to the level of the student and work required.
Apart from in exceptional circumstances, if a client fails to cancel 24 hours before the class, then s/he should pay me half the fee, excluding the travel charge. If I go to the client’s home and the class doesn’t happen, then I should be paid the full cost of the class, including travel.
