About Priyadharshan
I'm a sociologist and policy researcher at the intersection of gender, climate change, and health. I've published three peer-reviewed papers on where these collide: food security and population pressure, climate change and fertility, and the reproductive health of displaced women in conflict zones. Right now I'm going deeper into maternal and health policy specifically, as I just wrapped a research internship mapping India's flagship maternal health scheme (JSY) and wrote a policy memo recommending caste-disaggregated monitoring to fix who the scheme actually reaches.

With a background in Sociology, I've learned to go beyond the foundational text and look into the deeper layers actually hidden behind a phenomenon. Thus, I bring social causes and analysis framework to the theoretical data. I take classes for primary, middle, high school students. Me as a teacher will focus on understanding rather than the marks. I follow a participatory model of learning, where students are active partners and not passive listeners.
