About Ryan
Hello! My name is Ryan and I am from a very small town in central CA. I grew up in a very broken and unreliable school district but through hard work was able to attend, and subsequently graduate from UCLA this past summer. During my time there, I majored in neuroscience and minored in philosophy. I fell in love with the brain and consciousness during my time in college and will be attending medical school in August where I plan to specialize in neurology or neurosurgery. At UCLA I performed research on traumatic brain injuries and worked as an emergency medical technician in Los Angeles. Personally, I love sports and working out!

I am a very recent college graduate (June 2022) so I am very familiar with the stressors that come with expectations in school. Additionally, I attended a large public school where 1 on 1 teaching was uncommon so I appreciate the value of tutoring. Overall, I will make my session based on problem solving practice to allow critical thinking to grow in addition to content understanding. This will be done through worksheets and practice problems rather than solely lectures. I am very dedicated to helping others better understand science and math and I look forward to teaching you!
