I have both my Bachelor of Education degree (1998, U of Sask) and my Bachelor of Arts degree (2018, U of Manitoba) and have been working in film and theatre for a number of years. Would love to pass along the knowledge I have!

First lesson is an evaluation lesson so I can see how much work, be it linguistic or reading ability, to measure how much work will need to be done from that point onward. I believe in a hands-on approach, allowing and understanding the backgrounds the students have. Putting value in their past experiences and letting them draw from these experiences, is often the best way to bring forth the stories that you, as a performer, are trying to help tell.
