About Umra
I have been tutoring privately for a while now and have picked up on various competencies and skills needed to really succeed and flourish as a tutor. I have taught many different personalities - some challenging, some passive and some extroverts. In all this I have learnt that patience and passion is key. I have had to display the utmost passion for my subject in order to inspire students to open up and take more active interest in the subject.

I am a GCSE English Language and Literature tutor. I believe that teaching should be holistic. All of my previous students engaged well in the lesson because I was able to make the lesson relevant. Teaching requires competence as well as passion so I always try to tailor the lesson to the student's specific needs. In this way I take great pride in my work and teaching style to make all my student's feel valued and they end up exceeding their potential.
