About Carly
I am a recent graduate of Penn State University with a BFA in Acting and a BA in Spanish. Since I am newly out of school, I am in tune with what is currently being taught in language curriculums. A passion of mine is travel, so I have had the privilege of using my Spanish in real world contexts and experiencing many dialects of Spanish.

I will individualize my lesson plans to each student based on what they are learning in their own classes. My lessons will be to augment their in-school classes as a way to help the student achieve better fluency and higher grades. I have taken Spanish from the time I was in sixth grade, so I have experienced every level of Spanish class including Spanish 1-5, AP Spanish language, AP Spanish literature, and high level university courses, so I am familiar with the curriculums. I have experience with Spanish literature, linguistics, and culture in addition to reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Depending on the student's level, I will speak and teach mostly in Spanish unless the student is not understanding a difficult concept. The most important part of language acquisition is practicing speaking and listening.
