To be an outstanding teacher you should always have a lesson plan that is suitable for the different learning styles of all your students. In other words, the lesson plan should be differentiated. The students that need extra support in their learning need to be provided with resources to support them. Students that need challenging work need to be provided with work that will stretch them.
A Lesson Object should be available and all students are expected to know what they are going to learn in that lesson.
I assess my students all the time so that the I should be able to know if the students have understood what has been taught and to know if learning has taken place.
When it comes to skills and abilities i provide my students with resources to help them in their learning. Any student that needs extra support will be provided with this support and my lesson plan is differentiated so that students that need challenging activities are stretched and those that need more support are supported. I also cater for students with different learning styles like visual learners, auditory learners, kinesthetic learners, and reading and writing. Depending on the activity the class is doing sometimes students work in pairs or in groups of three to foster discussion amongst the group. When students discuss their ideas as a group it helps them to learn how to work with their peers. Sometimes i let each group to present their ideas to the class and this helps in a whole class discussion.
I also allow my students to improve their problem-solving skills when coding and i encourage them not to give up and can ask for help from me only after making three attempts to solve a problem. I praise my students if the put in more effort in a task or if they do an activity well i can give them points. I teach acrossall the age range groups.
