About Haley
I have been working with students of all ages for the past ten years, in whole class, small group, and individual settings. I am passionate about the English language, as it is the written and spoken word that allows us to interact with the world around us. It is my goal to provide you the tools and skills to contribute to this world with competence and confidence, allowing you to reach your personal, educational, or professional goals. I specialize in all aspects of English Language Arts, and view the subject as both an art and a science, a means of both study and story. Whether it be comprehension or composition, decoding or discussion, I am here to guide your learning with individualized instruction based on our collaborative commitment to your success. It is my philosophy to meet you where you are; with creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and commitment, we will work together to get you to where you want to be! I specialize in all aspects of English Language Arts, including but not limited to: reading (phonics, decoding, comprehension), writing (narrative, creative, expository, research, persuasive/argumentative, professional, etc.), and language conventions (spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, structure, vocabulary expansion).
