About Iram

I am a mum myself and love to teach and inspire learning in a nurturing patient and encouraging manner.

It makes me very happy to see the children I work with gain confidence and start to believe in themselves and in their abilities . It’s one of the things I love most about my job being able to make a positive difference in a child’s life especially in a world where reading and writing is such a vital literacy skill.

About the lesson

I have a degree in Business Administration working in a primary school for 8 years teaching phonics to Early years, KS1 and KS2 children.

My phonics lessons are taught using Ruth Miskins Read, Write inc approach which I am highly trained in.

My lessons are for 1 hour, interactive and consist of the following:

-Teaching new sound
-Reviewing sounds
-Speed Sounds
-Writing
-Oral blending
- Speedy Reading Green words , Red words & Alien words. (depending on level )
-Spellings (depending on level)
-Reading
