I currently lead science teacher training at a Russell Group University in the UK. I have been a teacher for 19 years and taught in both state and private institutions with a strong focus on exam success through focusing on exam techniques alongside subject knowledge.

I am an experienced science/biology teacher (19 years). I have a thorough understanding of the curriculum, teaching pedagogy and exam techniques having taught thousands of students. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students of a wide range of abilities and have supported pupils to achieve excellent examination results. I have worked in both the state and private sector. I currently lead science teacher training at a Russell Group University.
Each lesson will focus on learning the content followed by the ability to apply that knowledge effectively. We will work on exam technique, interpreting questions, applying scientific principles and developing clear, well-structured answers, helping students to approach examinations with greater confidence.
My approach to tutoring is centred around making science understandable, engaging and relevant. I believe students learn best when they understand not only what they are learning, but also why it matters and how they can apply their knowledge.
I recognise that every student is different, so I tailor my tutoring to their individual needs, strengths and areas for development. Whether a student needs help understanding a particular topic, wants to build their confidence, is preparing for upcoming examinations or is aiming to achieve the highest possible grades, I adapt my teaching accordingly.
I want students to feel that they can succeed and to leave each session with a clearer understanding of the subject and a sense of progress.
I am also available for those being home schooled during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Lessons are to be paid 24 hours prior to the lesson, and a 24-hour cancellation policy applies.
