About Mikaela

Hi! I'm Mikaela. I'm a 28-year-old teacher living in inner Sydney. On a day-to-day basis, I work as a casual teacher at schools across Sydney. As such, I am privy to a wide variety of teaching strategies and styles. In my experience, students can get easily left behind when their learning style or needs are unique. This is why I believe tutoring is a great way for students to not only keep up with the demands of their curriculum, but to enrich their minds even further. Tutoring offers the one-to-one advantage that classroom teaching is unable to provide, therefore giving each student ample opportunity to reach their full potential. I believe that passionate and dedicated teachers foster passionate and dedicated students. As such, I am wholly committed to helping my students strive for success in all their academic endeavors, whatever they may be. NOTE: In the interest of fairness, I cannot take on students who attend schools where I work as a teacher. I will confirm what school each student attends before committing to the job.

About the lesson

As a fully qualified K-12 teacher, I have a comprehensive understanding of the NSW curriculum. I am able to tailor each session to address the specific needs of each student, no matter their age or ability level. Whether you are looking to bring your child up to speed or extend them with challenges outside the classroom, I can help!

For Kindergarten to Year 6 students, I can help improve a student's literacy and numeracy skills across all KLAs or enrich their learning with extension activities.

For year 7-10 students, I am able to assist with a variety of subjects including Geography, Commerce, English and Mathematics.

For year 11-12 students, I specialise in Geography, Business and Legal Studies. However, I can also help improve general writing skills, Standard Mathematics understanding and HSC preparedness.

I offer an initial 30 minute free online session which will help me better understand your needs.

All lessons are online and prices are dependent on the student's year level.

The pricing is as follows:
*K-6 - $50 (45min - recommended for this age bracket) or $60 (60min)
*7-10 - $60 (60min)
*11-12 - $70 (60min)
