About Kirsty
Hello, I'm Kirsty - a 29-year old qualified teacher and tutor with a passion for sharing knowledge and helping people feel excited and in control of their learning.
I grew up in Oxfordshire and moved to London in 2016 to complete my Master's degree in music. I then spent two years studying at a doctoral level before deciding to work in education. I became a TA and then qualified as a teacher in 2021.
During my teaching career, I taught in a SEND school as well as in a mainstream primary school. I absolutely love seeing my students grasp a tricky concept and make progress in their learning!
Now, I'm looking to use my teaching skills to help individual and small groups of students increase their confidence and achieve their potential.
In my spare time, I am teaching myself computer programming, and also enjoy playing music, walking my dog, reading, and playing video games!

As a teacher with 5 years' experience teaching in mainstream and SEND schools, as well as 3 years' experience tutoring music and languages, I know that each child's needs and learning style is as unique as they are!
I use a range of resources and materials, including videos, visual examples, and real-life examples to help your child master different mathematical concepts and skills. Whether it's times tables, addition, long multiplication, or statistics that your child finds difficult - we will all work as a team to help your child reach their full potential and become a confident mathematician!
