About Marta
Hello! I'm Marta, a qualified teacher, native Spanish speaker and experienced private tutor with over 30 years' teaching and tutoring experience. I studied French and Spanish at university before completing my PGCE in Modern Languages, and have taught both in schools and through private tuition. I also lived in Spain for eight years, where I taught English to Spanish students, giving me first-hand experience of learning and teaching languages from both perspectives.
Over the years, I've worked with students of all ages and abilities, but I particularly enjoy helping young people develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed in GCSE and A Level Spanish. Every student is different, and one of the things I enjoy most about tutoring is finding the approach that helps each individual understand, progress and enjoy learning.
Outside of teaching, I've worked as a Spanish translator and medical market research analyst, so language has been at the heart of my professional life for many years. Whether your goal is to improve grades, prepare for exams or simply become a more confident Spanish speaker, I'd be delighted to help you achieve it.

Every lesson is carefully tailored to the individual student, whether they are preparing for GCSE or A Level Spanish, building confidence in speaking, or strengthening grammar and exam technique.
I believe students learn best when they are actively engaged, so my lessons are varied, interactive and enjoyable, combining structured learning with conversation, authentic Spanish materials, cultural topics and carefully chosen activities to keep motivation high.
I enjoy adapting lessons to each student's interests and learning style, helping them develop confidence and discover that studying a language can be both stimulating and rewarding.
As a qualified teacher, native Spanish speaker with over 30 years' teaching and tutoring experience, I provide a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions, challenge themselves and make steady progress.
My aim is to help students achieve their academic goals while developing the confidence and enthusiasm to use Spanish beyond the classroom.
