About Elissa
Hi! I’m Elissa, a qualified Secondary English Teacher and Literacy Lead with a degree in Linguistics and English Language and a passion for helping students build confidence and achieve their goals. I have experience teaching KS3 and GCSE English and can support students with English Language and Literature, reading, writing, grammar, essay skills, exam preparation and revision. My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual needs. Whether you or your child needs extra support, wants to improve grades or simply become more confident in English, I’m here to help!

My lessons are tailored to each student, focusing on their individual strengths, areas for development and goals. I use a friendly and supportive approach to make English feel engaging and manageable, while providing the challenge needed to make progress. Lessons can focus on GCSE English Language or Literature, KS3 English, reading and comprehension, creative and analytical writing, grammar, essay structure, exam technique or revision. I aim for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident, with a clear understanding of what they have learned and how they can continue to improve.

Elissa has a great ability to break down exam questions, to understand the essence of what is required. Prior to working with Elissa, I had achieved a D in my A-Level English Mock.
