I am a qualified teacher with experience teaching both primary and secondary students, as well as a TEFL certification. I specialise in supporting students preparing for GCSE-level English, history, geography, science, and art history.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style and focus on building strong subject knowledge, confidence, and effective exam techniques. I help students develop critical thinking, essay writing skills, and strategies for analysing exam questions and past papers.

I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and improving their understanding. Whether students need help catching up, consolidating knowledge, or preparing for exams, I provide structured guidance to help them succeed.

About the lesson

I am a full-time qualified teacher (QTS Status in both Ireland and England), and have worked in secondary and primary schools for over 4 years. I have been tutoring for over 3 years for students between (7-16 years old).

I offer in-person/online support in:

- GCSE / KS2/ KS1 English
- GCSE History
- GCSE / KS2 Geography
- GCSE / KS2 Science
- GCSE Art History

My teaching approach focuses on building both confidence and strong exam skills. I tailor each lesson to the student’s learning style and current level, ensuring they understand concepts clearly while developing the techniques needed to succeed in assessments.

1. Personalised Learning: I begin with a short assessment to identify strengths, knowledge gaps, and exam requirements.

2. Active Learning and Discussion: I encourage students to engage with the material through questions, discussion, and problem-solving.

3. Exam-Focused Strategies for GCSE preparation, I focus on:
- Exam technique and structured answers
- Analysing past paper questions
- Time management during exams
- Understanding mark schemes and what examiners are looking for

In online lessons I use a combination of:

- Visual diagrams and timelines
- Case studies and real-world examples
- Practice questions
