Science Tutoring That Actually Makes Sense!
For KS3 & KS4 Students (Ages 11–16)
Struggling with Science? Or just want to boost your grades? I'm here to help!
I'm a fully qualified Science teacher with 13+ years of experience teaching in one of Birmingham’s busiest inner-city schools. I know how to connect with all types of learners — whether you’re aiming for a pass or pushing for those top grades.
How I Teach:
I break tricky science topics into bite-sized, easy-to-understand chunks using dual coding techniques (that’s visual + verbal learning). It helps you remember more, understand faster, and feel more confident in lessons and exams.

How I Teach – And Why It Works
Let’s be real: Science can feel confusing sometimes. Too many facts, tricky words, and weird diagrams. That’s where my teaching style is different.
I don’t just throw information at you and hope it sticks.
Instead, I break topics down into simple, clear steps — using a method called dual coding. That means I teach using both pictures and words together. Why? Because your brain remembers visuals better when they're combined with the right explanation.
Here’s what that looks like:
- Instead of just reading notes, you’ll see diagrams, flowcharts, and mind maps that explain the topic clearly.
- You’ll learn how to connect ideas visually, which helps you remember them during tests.
- I’ll show you how to use this method yourself so you can revise smarter, not longer.
After 13 years teaching in Birmingham classrooms, I know what works – especially if you're someone who’s ever thought:
- “Science just isn’t my thing.”
- “I get it in class, but forget it later.”
- “I need someone to explain it properly.”
If that sounds like you, we’ll work together to make Science click – in a way that makes sense to you.
