About Ava

I am an experienced primary teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience in both private and state schools, as well as two years of successful online teaching. Throughout my career, I have worked with children of different abilities and backgrounds, helping them to develop confidence, achieve their goals, and enjoy learning.

I specialise in primary aged children and have extensive experience in phonics, early reading, literacy, and English language development. I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching approach to meet individual needs and create lessons that are engaging, supportive, and effective.

My passion is helping children build strong foundations in reading, writing, and communication while nurturing their self-belief and enthusiasm for learning. Whether your child has SEND, needs support with schoolwork, phonics, English as an additional language, or confidence-building, I provide patient, encouraging, and personalised online tuition in a safe and positive environment.

I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every child can thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning.

About the lesson

My online lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and tailored to each child's individual needs and learning style. I work with primary-aged children and learners of English, creating a positive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and develop at their own pace.

Every lesson is carefully planned to match the student's goals, whether they need help with school subjects, reading and writing, homework support, building confidence, or improving their English language skills. I use interactive activities, games, discussions, and age-appropriate resources to keep learning enjoyable and effective.

As all lessons are delivered online, students can learn comfortably from home while benefiting from flexible scheduling and personalised one-to-one attention. I believe that every child can succeed when they are encouraged, challenged appropriately, and given the right support.

My aim is not only to improve academic skills but also to help students become independent, motivated, and enthusiastic learners.
