About Fran
Hello! My name is Francesca and I am a qualified primary school teacher with over five years of teaching experience in the UK. I currently teach Reception (KG) at an international school in the UAE, where I support young learners in developing strong foundations in phonics, reading, writing and early mathematics.
I am passionate about helping children grow in confidence and enjoy learning. My teaching style is warm, patient and engaging, and I tailor lessons to suit each child’s individual needs and pace. I believe that with the right support and encouragement, every child can develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

My tutoring approach focuses on building confidence while strengthening the key foundations of learning. I believe children learn best when lessons are engaging, supportive and adapted to their individual needs. I use a range of interactive techniques such as games, visual resources, phonics activities and practical problem-solving tasks to help children stay motivated and enjoy the learning process.
For reading and phonics, I focus on blending sounds, recognising patterns in words and developing comprehension through storytelling and discussion. For maths, I use concrete resources and visual strategies to help children understand concepts such as number recognition, counting, early problem solving and reasoning.
Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on the child’s age and concentration level. Each lesson usually includes a short review of previous learning, a main teaching activity, and a fun practice task to reinforce understanding.
I am a qualified primary school teacher with over five years of teaching experience in London and I am currently teaching Reception (KG) at an international school in the UAE. I also have experience supporting children with different learning abilities and helping them develop confidence in their reading, writing and maths skills.
My lessons are best suited for Early Years and primary school children, from KG/Reception to Year 6, who may need additional support, confidence building or extension in phonics, reading, writing or early mathematics.
