About Mara
I am 46 years old, looking to move to London from Ipswich - therefore the shift to online tuitions, also for extra income. I enjoy all aspects of teaching, apart from the more admin ones, such as filling in forms and writing reports. Being a people person, I really want to plan effective lessons and be in touch with my student, creating a positive environment for learning and tailoring my approach to suit the individual needs.

As a foreigner in the UK, I understand how hard it is to learn a foreign language, the obstacles that this entails, but also the amazing feeling that is experienced when it all falls into place and you start to see progress. In addition to being a qualified primary school teacher, I have taught Italian at Suffolk New College in Ipswich, and have successfully brought my class from beginner to intermediate level within a year and a half, doing 2 hours a week. We learnt, had fun and created tight bonds that last this day. I am quite outgoing and empathetic, so I am sure we’ll have a good, productive time during our lessons.
