About Craig
Music is not only my profession but also my identity. My work is driven by a commitment to share both expertise and enthusiasm, ensuring that music education is meaningful and engaging for every learner.
I’ve taught children, teenagers, and adults in many different musical styles, both inside the classroom and beyond. No matter your experience, my goal is to make learning music enjoyable, inspiring, and tailored specifically to you.
My career started with teaching primary school children piano while I was studying at University of York. I then went onto working as a singing teacher at a preforming arts academy while I studied for my Primary PGCE. I continued with teaching piano at this time as well as conducting a community choir for adults. I enjoyed my time as a primary school teacher and was fortunate to be able to continue this work abroad at international schools for 6 years. I was employed as music and drama teacher at two international schools, including Wellington College, where I taught children from KS1-KS5, including tutoring for exams. All of this was immensely rewarding work and I am now back in the UK to continue to share my love of music education with others.
Regardless of your starting point, I aim to instil a lasting appreciation for music while supporting each individual in achieving their personal goals and developing their unique strengths.

Perhaps you're studying for an exam? ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall, Rock School and others as well as GCSE & A-Level tutoring (AQA, Eduqas, OCR and Pearson Edexcel) and others. Maybe you're not studying for an exam but you feel your musical knowledge could benefit from a top up or furthering beyond your current understanding!
Whatever your own goals are, each lesson will be tailored not only to your aims but also to your musical tastes.
I employ various resources during my lessons including Sibelius and Logic Pro. Through Google Drive we will build together a portfolio of musical understanding specifically for your needs which will end up as a document that is for you to refer to whenever you need it!
