About Lavinia
Ciao! My name is Lavinia, a native speaker of Italian.
I studied Modern Foreign Languages at the university in Calabria (Italy) and my Degrees have been assessed by UK NARIC.
Right after obtaining my Degrees, I spent a year in Newcastle upon Tyne, working as a Language Assistant.
In Italy, I have worked as a private tutor, teaching Spanish and English as a foreign language.
I then studied to become a teacher in Brighton and I obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in 2015.
Now I am a fully qualified teacher of MFL and I have been teaching in primary and secondary schools for four years. My subjects are Spanish, Italian and French. I have also gained lots of experience preparing students for GCSEs. My lessons are all well-structured and tailored to meet each student's requirements and address any specific weakness. During my lessons, I focus on the four key skills: Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing, and I always teach in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere!
