About Joy
I have a never-ending hunger for learning and instil the same value in my students. I am a strong believer that anyone can learn anything, provided they are presented with information in such a way that works for them. I am a strong believer in frequent repetition to get results.
I have a keen interest in Maths, Chess, Sports (volleyball, weightlifting, calisthenics, badminton, swimming and squash) and culinary skills. I also enjoy music (vocalist and pianist) and am extremely analytical with songs. This adds to my repertoire of techniques I use for the sake of improvisation.
My well-rounded nature makes me charismatic and enthusiastic to meet and learn from new people. I also am a fan of sharing what I have learned during my journey.

My lesson structure is kept very simple
A lesson would typically be 1 hour to begin with. The first lesson will always comprise of an assessment, allowing me to understand the students' strengths and weaknesses. I then teach through series of exercises that address weaknesses/misconceptions. Students are then reassessed to track progress.
I am a qualified Teacher and have taught in numerous schools.
I have been tutoring since 2010 and have a track record of getting great results out of students.
