About Tommy

I am trained in a wide range of styles spanning from Jazz, soul, blues, rock, metal, drum and bass, hip hop and much more. Whatever style of music you are interested in learning I will be able to craft lessons to help you reach those goals. After numerous years of teaching and conversations with peers I would highly recommend booking regular weekly lessons to maintain progression. To ensure you get the most out of lessons and improve at a steady pace, after all practice makes perfect! About the lesson

My lessons are individually catered to each student based on their own aims and requirements. Whether you want to work on grades, improve your technique, learn to play in a band or simply have fun I’m here to help. Drums are a fantastic instrument which regardless of your reasons for learning will always be a fun and exciting experience. Using a careful mix of theory and practical components I aim to deliver lessons that are time efficient and informative whilst remaining relaxed and unpressured. I have studied tuition and have learnt various ways of approaching teaching to help meet the individual needs of each student from total beginners to professional musicians and everything in between. All ages are also welcome.

Perfect! I've had several lessons with Tommy so far and he's been an excellent teacher! He's very friendly and incredibly calm and relaxed, which is what you want when you're learning an instrument for the start (and a bit of a nervous person like me)! Definitely would recommend Tommy!

Perfect! Tommy is a fantastic Tutor for all abilities, As a post grade 8 drummer he is still pushing me to work on new ideas that helped me come along a long way. I know he is very experienced in teaching younger drummers as well!

Fantastic tutor! Would recommend to everyone no matter what level of experience you are. Tommy is a reliable, approachable and patient drum tutor who has really motivated me to improve in a short amount of time! I started off a complete beginner not able to do a paradiddle and without a drum kit of my own and now get to play grade 2 and 3 level songs and also ones I asked to learn by the Black Keys and Guns N’ Roses. He has a personalised approach so whether you want to just enjoy drumming a particular song or are aiming towards an exam he’s flexible and will work with your objectives for drumming.

I have played since primary school after watching a drum demo in an assembly - haven't stopped since!

All levels of drums are challenging but the reward is brilliant and never fails to impress others.

Every instrument is challenging - it's one thing to learn the basics but to sound and play professionally is another thing!

A lot of my social and favourite memories are centred around music and playing drums - a great gig or just playing with friends is all so much fun.
