I have always been fascinated with how history allows us to explore the story of human civilisation, as well as how it helps us understand current affairs. I enjoy helping students see the relevance of historical events to the modern world.

I take a structured, supportive, and student-centred approach to tutoring. My aim is not only to improve students’ grades, but also to build their confidence, independent thinking, and exam technique.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they require help understanding key historical concepts, improving essay writing, analysing sources, or preparing for GCSE exams. I break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps and regularly check understanding through discussion, questioning, and practice tasks. I also focus heavily on exam skills, including timing, structure, and how to meet mark scheme requirements effectively.
I use a combination of guided explanation, active recall, model answers, and targeted feedback to help students make steady progress. Lessons are interactive and encouraging, allowing students to ask questions freely and develop confidence in their abilities.
Typical lessons are usually 60 minutes long, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed, particularly closer to exam periods.
I am a qualified secondary school History teacher in England with 3 years of classroom experience teaching KS3 and GCSE History. During this time, I have worked with students of a wide range of abilities and personalities, helping them improve both academically and in confidence.
My lessons are mainly aimed at secondary school students, particularly KS3 and GCSE pupils, including those who want to strengthen their understanding of the subject, improve exam performance, or achieve higher grades.
