About Nicole
I have been a Head of Department and teacher of Food Technology for the past 10 years in secondary education, where I have had the privilege of guiding students through their culinary journeys. My passion lies in inspiring individuals to step outside their comfort zones, building their confidence to create high-skill dishes they never thought possible. From mastering fundamental techniques to producing intricate GCSE and Level 3-standard dishes, I tailor my teaching to suit each student’s ability, ensuring they develop both practical skills and a deep understanding of the subject. I don’t just teach how to cook—I explore the science behind food, helping students grasp the ‘why’ as well as the ‘how.’ Whether it’s perfecting a sauce, achieving the ideal texture, or understanding the chemical reactions that bring dishes to life, my approach makes learning both engaging and rewarding. I believe that nothing is unachievable; with the right guidance, patience, and trust in the process, every student can develop the confidence and skills needed to excel.
