About Tanya
I have provided English classes for over 8 years, for businesses and individuals of all ages and levels. I was a tutor in English for a member of the royal family in Abu Dhabi and I am currently tutoring students of the International School of Geneva so I am accustomed to working confidentially and with demanding customers!
I have trained around one hundred students, perhaps more (My lessons at the British Council were for groups of up to 24 students). I enjoy giving private lessons since this allows for more focus on the individual's level, on practicing pronunciation and reinforcing grammar.
My students have passed the Cambridge certificates listed above including Business English Certificate.

I am a British graduate in French and qualified in teaching English since 2002 (CELTA - Cambridge English Language Teaching). I have worked with students of various nationalities throughout my teaching positions at the British Council in Abu Dhabi, Arabic schools in the Middle East, language schools in Geneva and with the Chamber of Commerce of Haute Savoie. I have experience in teaching both private (individual) lessons and group classes. I have worked with children from age 5 to 16 years old. I am currently an English tutor for Tutorsplus, a company in Geneva. And I work during school holidays as a 'host family' for the company Daily English, receiving French-speaking children who spend a week of English immersion with me and my family.
I have experience in exam preparation - Cambridge Preliminary English, First Certificate, Cambridge Advanced English, Business English and Cambridge Proficiency. I have taught from beginners to level C2. I use a variety of resources to create practical, useful and fun lessons, and most importantly, lessons that are customized for you and your needs. I can provide references from former students should you wish!
