About Greeshma
I’m a qualified English teacher with five years’ experience, specialising in GCSE English Language and Literature. I’m warm, approachable and academically rigorous, with a strong understanding of curriculum, assessment and what helps students make genuine progress. My lessons are tailored, engaging and supportive, helping students develop confidence, think critically and achieve their full potential.
As a passionate reader, I know how profoundly literature can enrich our lives, develop our understanding of others and encourage us to think differently. I want to share that enthusiasm with my students, while helping them build confidence, develop their skills and achieve their full potential.

I’m a qualified English teacher with five years’ classroom experience, specialising in GCSE English Language and Literature. I combine clear, structured teaching with a supportive approach that builds both confidence and independence.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs. I begin by identifying areas for development, then use modelling, guided practice, questioning and targeted feedback to help students understand exactly how to improve. For GCSE students, I place particular emphasis on exam technique, essay structure, close analysis, using evidence effectively and understanding what examiners are looking for.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I can adapt the length depending on the student’s age and needs. I teach GCSE students aged 14–16, supporting both English Language and Literature, including students who are aiming to improve their grades as well as those working towards the highest grades. I am also open to teaching younger KS3/Primary students as well as A Level Literature Candidates.
As a qualified teacher with experience teaching KS3 and GCSE English, developing literacy across a school and working closely with assessment and curriculum, I understand the challenges students face in the classroom and can provide focused, individualised support that complements their school teaching.
My aim is not simply to help students get through their next exam, but to make them more confident, capable and independent English students.
