Having worked as an English Teacher and Head of English, I have a successful teach record of preparing students for 11+ examinations to secure entry to leading preparatory schools including Westminster and Latymer Upper School in London. About the lesson

I believe in making lessons enjoyable and stimulating with a strong but realistic element of challenge. I am able to draw on my considerable tutoring experience as well as advanced subject knowledge to identify strengths and weaknesses in learners and suitable next steps. I have developed many high quality resources and schemes of work over several years which can also be personalised to meet the need of individual students. Lessons often make use of diverse media such as music, art and newspapers. Praise is used to build students' confidence and enjoyment of English.
