My lessons are relaxed, open and enjoyable. I always ask my student what they would like to learn before our tutoring session so I can tailor my teaching plan to their needs.
I am conscientious about ensuring students have a firm grasp of key concepts from the required course materials. This is dealt with before delving into exam past paper practice and technique.
I sequence concepts in a logical order that develop in factual knowledge and complexity in the form of scaffolding. I use carefully selected analogies, examples, and contextual relevance to make the topic comprehensible to students and prevent misconceptions. I promote dialogue by asking open questions, allowing for flexible discussion that facilitates construction of knowledge in a collaborative manner.
