Qualified and experienced teacher and A-level examiner - Sociology tutor with Jennifer

Entering A2 Sociology, the amount of content seemed very daunting, but with Jennifer's help it became very manageable due to her all-encompassing knowledge of content and exam technique, her helpful and insightful attitude, and the resources she sent me between sessions.

Jennifer tutored me for a mere 7 weeks. During this short time, I made spectacular progress, jumping up three grades. Jennifer knows the specification inside out. She explains concepts and requirements clearly, helping to understand what exactly examiners want to see. Jennifer is punctual and reliable. Se returned any set work to me annotated within hours. Jennifer is patient and focused, but also very engaging. Our lessons were always interesting and enjoyable. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Best tutor I have ever had!Really helped me this year and the 2 hours sessions felt like ten minutes .Jen made things really clear and really helped me improve my essay technique. I suffer from dyslexia and Jen was really understanding. Would strongly recommended Jen as a tutor!

Jennifer tutored me in Sociology last summer for my AS level. I am severely dyslexic and this mean that my tutors needs to understand my needs and adapt their teaching accordingly.
Jennifer did an amazing job at teaching me in the way that I learn best; through flash cards and visual memory jogs for dates and sociologist names to help my poor working memory, alongside playing out scenarios in order to get me thinking and remembering concepts and key points. She is one of the only teachers that I have had that have truly met my learning style- and is the best tutor I have had. I would highly recommend her.

Having to repeat the year after getting a D and E in sociology put my self confidence down a phenomenal level. However Jen gave me the help, guidance and support I needed to not only pass, but to get to an A*. Jen was very patient with me and adapted to my way of learning, she was great and I couldn't have done it without her!

An indication of the Vaule we placed on Jennifer as a Tutor was the fact we were prepaid to travel 90 mins each way to meet with her.


The level of teaching was by far and above anything we experienced with any other Tutor,and I'm very disappointed to say that includes School.
Jennifer's ability to find the best learning method for my son was so refreshing,and thus enabled him to learn concepts that he had struggled with.
My son is a newly diagnosed dyspraxic learner,he fought against the diagnosis,Jen led him to embrace his difficulty leading to better learning and self esteem.
