About Maria Luisa

Teaching Italian to foreigners is for me the most beautiful job in the world, through teaching I come into contact with many different languages and cultures. Teaching means leaving a mark and teaching my culture, my world, my sounds and gestures for me is to truly share something that is inside me, that is part of me, practically sharing myself. But it is also a process of mutual donation because through the comparison with other cultures I can see the world. For this reason the communication method is the one I prefer, the understanding takes place through the active interaction of the students, the materials are in Italian and, in addition to learning the language, I guide the students to learn and use the strategies for understanding.

About the lesson

I am very helpful, empathetic and attentive to the needs of the students.
My teaching method is very friendly and flexible, suitable for lessons based on the needs of the student; for this reason the first lesson will be of pure conversation to establish your level of Italian and we will establish together the path to take, while, from the second, topics with activities adapted to the needs and interests. The teaching methodology will be varied: from conversation to writing and reading, exercises to improve all aspects of the Italian language. Plus, talking about the things we love is a perfect, natural, and very inspiring way to learn. Grammar / vocabulary is also important, therefore, my lessons could also include written assignments, book excerpts or multimedia resources such as books, songs, videos, articles, podcasts. The assignment of homework is at the student's discretion. I like to guide the student towards new discoveries through dynamic lessons that in addition to actively involve my students by guiding them through the discovery of the language.
