• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  I am really fascinated by the study of Physics. No other subject interests me more than physics. I developed my love for physics in class 9 when we were studying gravitation. That really pulled me into the world of physics. My favorite topic is Nuclear and Particle Physics which fascinates me to another level. I am also going to pursue my Ph.D. in Nuclear and Particle Physics.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  Bikash Sir, who taught me physics in classes 11 and 12, is my biggest inspiration. He really instigated in me that enthusiasm to pursue physics at a higher level. He will always be my inspiration. My mother is also a great teacher who really inspires me to go forward in this field.

• How does your work help society?

  My work helps society build better students and most of all, better human beings. My goal is not only to create good students but also to make them better human beings.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  As I said, Bikash Sir is my role model. Pritam Sir, who also taught us English, is also a great role model for me.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  Outside teaching, I am also into research. I am currently pursuing MSc. in Physics at NIT Nagaland and I have cleared GATE 2023 which will help me get admission into IITs for my Ph.D. Besides teaching and research, writing is my favorite hobby as it really soothes and relaxes my mind. I am also a regular runner. I love playing cricket and watching movies. I read a lot of novels also for mind relaxation.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  Nothing much, just that if you keep working hard no matter what the result is, you can always win any battle. However down or low you are in your career, you can always turn it around through sheer and continuous hard work. Luck will surely favor you if you keep working hard.
