Hello there! I'm Emmett Burns, a committed tutor with a Bachelor's degree in English Language & Literature. My aim is not just to teach but to be your partner in this educational journey, infusing creativity into our lessons through my love for poetry and activism. Lessons are tailored to each individual student, but generally a first session would involve going over goals, strengths, and weaknesses to identify the best course of action. I specialize in college application essay writing, essay writing, and poetry but also offer other services! First session (free of charge) is 30 minutes, all other sessions are 1.5hr+.

My pricing and cancellation policy is a rate that fairly compensates me for the time spent tutoring and all of the prep work + materials that go into it. Also, a no-show to a booked session will incur a charge of $25 + $10/hour booked after the first hour.
