About Lachlan

I am a public speaking coach with professional skills grounded in media and communications, toastmasters and law - presenting is my life!

I thoroughly enjoy connecting with people and learning about their aspirations - so I can help them achieve their goals in the most practical way possible (no matter how big or small!).

I am also a second language speaker (Spanish) and understand the trials and tribulations of presenting in a language other than English.

I use this empathy and experience to underpin the coaching style in my sessions - no matter who I am coaching.

About the lesson

Be it a work or university presentation, wedding speech, eulogy, startup pitch or story you want to hone and refine for an open mic night, I am here to listen to your needs and create a tailored approach to get you closer to your goal.

I have a range of practical techniques and exercises that can help you 'level up' quickly to meet a tight deadline or refine your skills in a more gradual way via regular or intermittent coaching.

I always take a holistic approach to provide the most rounded coaching sessions possible and integrate an emphasis on the following top techniques to make you the most 'well rounded' speaker possible:

- Storytelling and structure;
- Stage presence and vocal variety;
- Audience connection and 'reading the room'; and
- Anxiety management.

I can also offer specific and dedicated support to speakers whereby English is a second language - just let me know if this is something you want to focus on!
