About Emma
Hi! My name is Emma and I am looking forward to working with you. I love traveling, cooking & baking, going to the beach and reading a good book. I am currently a college student getting a degree in psychology with a minor in law and philosophy. Now, my major is part of the college of arts and sciences; which basically just means I write a whole lot of papers. Writing has been a long time passion of mine and something that I truly enjoy. It has always come naturally to me and I love being able to explain and teach others as well. Whether you are good at writing/vocabulary or not, it all comes down to one thing: practice. Anything can be taught, as long as you are willing to put the time and practice in!

I strongly believe that the key to learning anything (and remembering it) is repetition. Typically, a lesson would begin with me introducing the topic. For example, it if was a vocabulary lesson we were doing, we would first go over each word and its definition. Followed by examples of the word used in sentences and then practice sentences with plug in options. We could also come up with ways of remembering the word with nicknames, phrases and etc. In doing all of this I would make note of which words you are struggling most with and focus more on these. I would help clarify any definitions that were confusing and lastly, make sure the words are being spelled correctly. I am aware that everyone learns differently, and appreciate feedback to make my lessons better. I want to make learning enjoyable and efficient at the same time!
