About Amelia
I am a Psychology student at UCR. I have been Sunday school teacher for 6 years and a private tutor for four years. I graduated high school with a 4.3 GPA and passed multiple AP tests, two of which being English. I also helped get two students accepted to a highly selective college preparatory program called PAYS by working with them throughout the essay portion of the application.

I would like to first see where my students are at in their reading or writing levels depending on which subject they need help in and from there, offer encouragement and constructive criticism. With writing I will edit their papers and explain to them why I made certain changes and remind them that their personal writing voice is most important. And so, if they disagree on an edit they can choose to reject it. With reading, I will have discussions with them regarding the reading material to enforce critical thinking and allow them to grow in their analysis and understanding of the text.
